The Road to Enterprise 50 is not an easy one. Many companies try, few get through and only the best attain the title of ‘E50 Winner’. Therefore, to assist you in improving your chances of entering the pool of potential winners, here is a step-by-step guide on your own road to Enterprise 50.
Qualifying Criteria
To qualify for the Enterprise 50 award, your company: -

 1. need to fulfill the definition of SMEs* and locally incorporated with at least 40% local equity;
 2. must fulfill 4 star & above from SCORE Programme;
 3. must not be listed on any Malaysian Bourse, including ACE Market (formerly known as MESDAQ);
 4. can either be a parent company or a subsidiary. If the parent company participates, all subsidiaries will not be eligible; and
 5. must have 3 years audited financial records.

* Definition of SMEs
Category of SMEs;
Manufacturing
"Enterprises with annual sales turnover not exceeding =RM50million OR with full-time employees not exceeding =200 "
Services and other sectors
"Enterprises with annual sales turnover not exceeding =RM20 million OR with full-time employees not exceeding =75 "

To participate in Enterprise 50, please ensure the following:

1)
Submit a completed nomination form before the closing date for the current year. Some pointers on completing the Enterprise 50 nomination form for your reference:
a )
We recommend that the CEO/Managing Director of the company fill in the nomination personally to ensure completeness and accuracy.
b )
Answer each question and the sub-sections in full and complete sentences. Bullet points are allowed.
c )
Provide real-life case studies and examples in your answers whenever possible.
 
2)
Forward a copy of your latest 4 years audited financial statements and your processing fee of RM1,500 via JomPAY. (Note that management accounts/un-audited financial statements are NOT ACCEPTED).

By submitting the completed nomination form, processing fee and audited financial statements. It indicate that you have read and agreed to the Rules & Regulations governing the Enterprise 50 Award Programme.
 
Rules & Regulations
 
 
As a participating company, you agree that:

The facts stated in the nomination form together with all accompanying information are true and correct.

The decisions of the organisers are final and there will be anonymity of those not listed.

Any clarification and additional information with regards to the nomination which the organisers may require (upon request) will be provided.

All publicity schedules and guidelines (including rules and standards regarding the usage of the Enterprise 50 logo) as stipulated by the organisers for the Top 50 winners will be adhered to.

The organisers may revoke an award in the event that any of the above conditions for this nomination is breached.

Withdrawal from the Enterprise 50 award on your own accord after submission is in breach of the terms of nomination and the processing fee will not be refunded and all submitted documents will not be returned.

 
 
 
Upon receipt of the completed nomination form, audited financial statements and full payment, each participating company is assessed according to 2 key areas:

(Note: To maintain confidentiality, the financial figures of individual companies will NOT be released publicly. The financial figures will only be used for the purpose of ranking and will be published only as a percentage or ratio. However, profit and other figures may be used internally for research purposes.)
 
 
All participants will be provided points based on their performance in these 2 areas. Thereafter, we will be visiting short-listed companies to further validate their applications. A performance ranking of all the participating companies will be done before submitting to the Independent Panel of Judges.
 
 
Moderation Process
 
The Independent Panel of Judges convenes to calibrate and moderate the rankings of all the participating companies. The final ranking and scores of all participating companies is decided and thereafter emerges the Top 50 winner.
     

Winners will get to enjoy publicity in both the print and electronic media, as well as to be featured in the E50 website. Winners also honoured with:

 1. receive the Enterprise 50 award trophy and certificate at the award dinner;
 2. be automatically nominated to the Industry Excellence Award and the National Productivity Award;
 3. free seat at the exclusive award dinner where winners will be given the opportunity to network with the movers and shakers of the Malaysian economy;
 4. receive media coverage from New Straits Times, Malaysia SME and other printed media;
 5. an endorsement and mark of recognition and excellence for the winning company;
 6. be able to use the Enterprise 50 Logo on your corporate collaterals;
 7. privileged access to the winners circle where Enterprise 50 winners can access latest industry, specific research reports, case studies and ground-breaking information;
 8. automatic entry for Deloitte Tech Fast 500 Programme;
 9. special Business Solutions Package from Telekom Malaysia Berhad;
 10. fast lane processing for loan application and RHB Business Platinum Credit Card* from RHB Bank Berhad; and
 11. be featured in the Enterprise 50 homepage www.e50.com.my.
